Celebrating 150 Years

It was an incredible weekend. It’s been a momentous year. Our 150th Celebration is now complete, and we couldn’t be more proud to be a part of Prairie.

Our Open house was a heartwarming way to start off the weekend, with many Prairie alumni walking through the 1939 doorway and entering our school for the first time in years. Witnessing teachers, parents, former students and friends reconnect was a sight to behold.

The next day’s 150th Fair was nothing short of amazing. With carnival rides, a petting zoo, pony rides and old-time activities like churning butter and fence-painting this event was the perfect tribute to Prairie’s storied history.

A tremendous thank you to our 150th Committee, for the many hours of planning and organizing to make this year’s tribute so unique:

  • Ashley Walburn                                                    Committee Chairperson
  • Heather Minor                                                      Open House Chairperson
  • Tricia Stephens                                                      Fair Chairperson
  • Holly Grummert & Jessica Brown             Class Projects
  • Constance Eddy & Amy Gardner               Book
  • Kate Johnson                                                         Marketing & Promotion
  • Christopher Smith                                              Photography

And thank you to all the parent volunteers and students who helped these events go off as well as they did. We are so grateful to have been a part of it!
