Snowball Project 2023

Project Snowball is an annual tradition at Prairie Elementary where we support 7 families in need during the holiday season, in partnership with Operation Breakthrough. Operation Breakthrough is a nonprofit organization that’s been serving Kansas City families since 1971.

Permission slips went home on November 1st for Kindergarteners and 1st graders and are due back by November 8th. 2nd through 6th graders will have a chance to select a snowball on November 13th so please discuss with your students ahead of time if you prefer a $10, $20, or $30 price range. All new and unwrapped gifts can be brough back to the school between 11/27 and 11/30. While gifts should be returned unwrapped, gifts of wrapping paper, bows, ribbon, etc are welcome for the adopted families to use.
