Save Those Plastic Bottle Caps!

Bottle CapsThe Prairie Art Committee is in need of plastic bottle caps. Plastic bottle caps can be found on almost any household grocery item.  Milk jugs, OJ containers, sour cream and yogurt lids, detergent jugs, soda pop and water bottles,  parmesan cheese bottles, salad dressing bottles, margarine tubs, spray paint can lids, 5-gallon bucket lids, etc.  Just about any color, size and variety will work.

We are hoping to get a nice palette of colors.  Please send your caps in with your child to give to his/her teacher.  The Prairie Art Committee will be collecting caps all year long and would love to have enough caps by Art in the Garden on Oct. 4 to help with projects.

There will be a contest to see which class can turn in the most plastic bottle caps by Oct. 4.  The class that wins will receive an award (party or treat of some kind).  We may offer another End of Year award by the class that collects the most by year’s end.

Remember:  Before you toss…does it have a plastic cap?!
