3W Quilting - 1
Photography by Christopher Smith

It’s said a “day patched with quilting seldom unravels.” Ms. William’s 3rd graders now know their way around a sewing machine.

From selecting fabric swatches to ironing to operating the machines, everyone had a turn to create their own pillow and individual squares for their master quilt.

There were many steps necessary to pull off this event and thanks to Allison Giffin and Tara Freund every step went “seamlessly.” And thank you as well to all the parents and grandparents who helped introduce these students to the art of sewing.
