As you may be aware, the Prairie office and front entrance is getting a make- over this summer. As part of the district-wide safety and security plan, every elementary school will have a secure “buzz-in” entrance by the start of school this coming fall. To make this happen, the office will have to be totally reconstructed.
As of Monday, May 11, the Prairie office has been moved to the library.
The construction crew will build a temporary wall taking a portion of the front lobby. The lobby will still be available before and after school, however the front doors will be locked during school hours,
Any business during the school day must be done using the library door which is located in the garden area.
The phones and computers will all be moved and numbers will not change. The nurse will remain in the same location however you will need to check in and out students through the library doors.
Construction workers will have no contact with students and will be put through the Raptor system.
The front lot will still be available with only a few spots being taken up for construction equipment, etc.
Once again, you will be able to dismiss and arrive during morning and afternoon drop off in the font lobby; however during the school hours all business must be done through the library door.
