Quilting requires three things: a sewing machine, fabric and creativity. Throw in a little patience and concentration and you have a work of art on your hands.
Mrs. Madden’s class got their turn to pedal the machines and created their own pillows and quilt sections. This activity was made possible by the meticulous planning and step by step instruction of Allison Giffin and Tara Freund. And to all the parents and grandparents who took time to give these kids a lesson in working with your hands, one stitch at a time.
