How can I help the Shawnee Mission School District?
Shawnee Mission patrons have always supported excellence in education. The 1992 school finance law took away the ability of local boards of education to levy taxes for school operations and placed it in the hands of the state legislature. Since that time, we have been at the mercy of our legislators in Topeka. It is critical that you, as patrons of Shawnee Mission and supporters of quality public school education, contact your legislators to advocate on behalf of the school district and its students.
