Zach graduated from Kansas State with a degree in business and then went on to complete his MBA at UMKC. Upon graduation, Zach was hired on to the City of Mission, Kansas as their Aquatics Coordinator. He trained lifeguards, taught and managed youth swim programs, all while helping operations of both an indoor and outdoor aquatic facilities. In 2016 he was hired as the Aquatics Manager at Life Time Fitness in Lenexa. Although he loved aquatics, he wanted to get back to what he loved; history and teaching others. He is currently pursuing his teaching certificate with the desire to be a Social Studies teacher by fall of 2018. He has two cats, Roscoe and Bandit, and he loves science fiction.
