All for Books Fundraiser This Week

Just a reminder that our All for Books library fundraiser is happening this week (Monday – Thursday).  Please send $1 (or more) with your student each day.  Classrooms are competing to see who can bring in the most money by the end of Thursday!  Each student in the winning classroom will receive a gift certificate good for a book of their choice in our April Book Fair!  All money collected this week will go to our Prairie library.  To add to the fun, students can wear the following when they bring $1.  Thanks so much for your support!!
Tuesday, February 27 bring $1 and you get to WEAR YOUR FAVORITE JERSEY!
Wednesday, February 28 bring $1 and you get to WEAR A HAT!
Thursday, March 1 bring $1 and you get to WEAR CRAZY SOCKS!
Friday, we will celebrate with popcorn in the lunch room AND you can dress as your favorite Dr. Seuss character!!

BUY A PUPPY AND HELP THE KIDS!

Surprise your kids with an adorable puppy!  He will be visiting school on Friday afternoon!
An adorable, male Lhasa/Chon puppy that your kids have been wishing for will be available for bidding at the auction. Get your puppy just in time for spring and guarantee your “parent of the year” status!
The puppy will be at the auction so you have a chance to fall in love before you purchase. Includes a “puppy starter kit”. Remember it is all for the kids!

Please purchase your tickets online this week. Saturday night, they will be $50 each at the door. Purchase tickets now for $40 each, $80 for a couple.
Best of Live tickets
First come, first serve; only 100 available. $75 each. Right before the live auction begins, one name will be drawn. That person can select any live auction item. Who doesn’t want a puppy for only $75? Purchase Best of Live ticket.

Once again, we will use BidPal, a mobile auction service, which allows attendees to purchase event tickets online, register credit card payment, participate in the silent auction the night of the event and bid remotely. All from your smartphone!

One Book One School Week

It’s One Book One School week!

We are so excited to celebrate One Book One School this week in the library and classrooms! The children have been enjoying reading the book at home and in the library. “The Wild Robot” is a story about Roz, the robot, and her experience on an island inhabited by wildlife.  Roz learns to befriend the wildlife while learning kindness, survival-ism, and the meaning of family.  

The week’s activities are as follows:

Monday- Bookmark Contest begins
Tuesday- Pick up your trivia sheet in the library
Wednesday- Be sure to check out the estimation jar & put your guess in
Thursday- wear a robot shirt if you have one
Friday- Winners announced on the announcements
