Story time for Kindergarteners
Story time for Kindergarteners

To create good readers, we need to teach children to love reading. Lori O’Neal has adhered to this philosophy every year she’s been at Prairie.

With her warm personality she’s welcomed hundreds of children through the library doors and helped them foster a love of reading and a respect for books.

Younger classes begin their library time with a short story, followed by selecting books to check out and coloring time. The older classes receive instruction from Lori about internet safety, and how to effectively conduct research for homework assignments. This year, Lori is helping students access “World Book,” an SMSD online resource that’s safe for younger students to use.
