These are two roles that really help you get to know the students, and their teachers! Room Parents are responsible for getting volunteers for class parties, scheduling mystery readers and serve as the liaison between the teacher and the parents. Even if you’re a working parent we encourage you to try this role if you’ve never done it.
Lunch Helpers monitor the students during lunch time to ensure no food fights ensue! You’ll help kids open their lunch packaging, direct them to the trash and help the next group of classes find their seats. An hour here or there, every week or every other week. Any time you could give would be appreciated!
