Food allergies

First, be sure to contact your student’s teacher and the nurse, Stacey Thein.

You will need to set up a meeting to discuss your child’s allergy protocol, provide allergy medication (epi-pen) if necessary and have an emergency plan in place.

Your child’s allergy will be communicated to the parents in your classroom and a list of allergy-free snacks will be provided to them.

Prairie has a peanut free lunch table – only students with peanut-free lunches are permitted to sit there. There are volunteer parents who help monitor the lunch hour who help enforce this guideline.

Please contact Mr. Merfen if you have additional concerns.
